Using AutoRestore on a Sega Dreamcast
We strongly suggest you print this page or save it to a disk. You will have to disconnect from this Web site to perform the AutoRestore.
- Make sure only one controller is attached to the system. The controller must be in the port labeled B
- Turn on the system, select Play and insert the AT&T Worldnet Service Gigi Data-Rom (GDR) disk.
- When the Planetweb screen appears, press and hold the X and B buttons on the controller. This will launch the Sign Up for AT&T Worldnet Service screen.
- Select Register for AT&T Worldnet Service and fill in the dialing information. This will connect you to our registration server, where you can select the Retrieve Settings button to perform the AutoRestore.
Important!
During the AutoRestore, the AT&T Worldnet Service registration server will select a primary and secondary access number for you. You must contact your local or long distance telephone company to determine whether telephone charges will apply to your use of these numbers. To find out which numbers were selected:
- Connect to AT&T Worldnet Service and select the Start button on your Dreamcast controller.
- From the menu that appears, scroll to the Options selection in the lower-right of the menu screen, then press the A button on the controller. This will open the Options screen.
- On the Options screen, move the cursor to the Internet Connection selection and press the A button. This will cause a new screen to appear.
- View your account information by selecting the Basic Info tab. In the middle of this screen, you will see the Dial Up Number and Backup Number. These are the numbers the registration server has selected for you. To edit, place the cursor in the box containing the number you want to change and select the A button on your Dreamcast controller. Note: You will be charged 10 cents per minute to use an access number with an 800 or 888 area code.
